Cyflwyniad i'r Pwyllgor Eco Committee

An Introduction to the Eco Committee

Pwy ydym ni?

Who are we?

We are the Eco Council of Rhos y Fedwen Primary School. We chose to join the Eco Committee because we are very interested in engaging with environmental and sustainable development issues and becoming responsible citizens in school, at home and in our wider community.

The Eco-Schools programme is an international initiative.  We focus on learning about topics that include: Litter, Waste Minimisation, Transport, Healthy Living, Energy, Water, School Grounds and Global Citizenship.

We take key roles in decision making in order to reduce the environmental impact of our school.

Beth a wnawn?

What we do?

As Eco Leaders we play a key role in helping the school become more environmentally friendly. We encourage  classmates and teachers to take care of the planet by promoting activities like recycling, saving energy, and reducing waste. Eco Leaders have organised projects such as planting trees, starting a school garden, and organising litter picks.  Additionally, Eco Leaders help spread the message about protecting the environment by speaking at assemblies or events, inspiring others to take action and make a positive difference for the Earth.
